The initiative group for creating the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM) collected over 4,000 applications from persons who want to join this party, which is the number needed for registering a political organization. Contacted by IPN, the head of the party’s press service Elena Moldoveanu said the application for registration will be submitted immediately after the constitution congress is convened.
The representatives of the PPEM intend to continue to go to district centers to discuss with their supporters. Elena Moldoveanu stated that a number of requests came from persons from districts, who said they want to talk to the representatives of the initiative group.
The campaign to collect signatures was rolled out in Chisinau on March 27. Afterward, it was extended to a number of settlements. A tent of the PPEM will be put up in Cahul town on April 7 to discuss with the supporters and to gather applications for joining the party.
The European People’s Party of Moldova is based on the center-right conservative doctrine. It aims to be a party of dialogue and reason that will make effort to unite all the people around the country modernization project.
