PPCD wants electoral debates as soon as possible

The Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD) lodged applications with the Central Election Commission and the Broadcasting Coordination Council asking that they take measures to hasten the organization of electoral debates on radio and TV, Info-Prim Neo reports. It is unacceptable that some of the broadcasters will start organizing debates on July 12 as this is against the regulations concerning the covering of the election campaign. Furthermore, this campaign will be very short, the top candidate on the PPCD’s list Ghenadie Vaculovschi said at a news conference on Thursday. He has said that the PPCD will participate in all the debates regardless of the media institutions that will organize them and make the invitation. In another development, Vaculovschi denied the rumors that the party’s leader Iurie Rosca and vice presidents Vlad Cubreacov and Stefan Secareanu will be again included in the electoral list not long before the elections. The first seven candidates on the Christian-Democratic ticket for the coming elections are members of the New Generation called by the party ‘the seven magnificent candidates’. Today, the PPCD together with other parties laid flowers to the Monument to Stefan the Great on the occasion of 505 years of the ruler’s death.
