Power consumption up 2.3% in nine months
Power consumption in Moldova in the last nine months has increased by 2.3%. The volumes of electricity purchased by power distribution companies and authorized consumers rose by 2.6%, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The largest volume of power – 2.50,58 billion kWh – was bought by RED Union Fenosa. RED Nord purchased 472.18 million kWh, RED Nord-Vest – 246.60 million kWh, while the authorized consumers – 67.58 million kWh.
Consumption in the area served by RED Nord –Vest grew by 3.7% to 210.89 million kWh, while in the areas served by RED Union Fenosa and RED Nord – by 2.6% and 2.2% and totaled 1.725,8 billion kWh and, respectively, 418.9 million kWh. The authorized consumers supplied 65.4 million kWh of power, down 9.5% compared with the January-September 2009.
In the period, the average rate of technological consumption of power in transportation networks was 3.25%, by 0.25% lower than the norm and 0.33% higher than the rate for the first nine months of 2009.
The average rate of technological consumption and commercial losses of power in distribution networks fell by 0.06% to 12.09%.
