Belarus does not plan to modify the current regime of commercial cooperation with Moldova, Belarusian Prime Minister Mihail Miasnikovici said in a meeting with the President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports.
Nicolae Timofti is paying a one-day visit to Turkey, where he is taking part in the ceremony to invest President elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In the first part of the day, the head of state had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Belarus Mihail Miasnikovici in Ankara.
According to the presidential press service, the two officials discussed the political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries and the regional situation. The head of state said that Moldova is grateful to the Belarusian authorities for their intention to maintain and foster the bilateral commercial relations at a time when the country had to substantially reduce exports to Russia.
Mihail Miasnikovici said his country will not modify the regime of commercial cooperation with Moldova. Moreover, the potential of the Moldovan-Belarusian cooperation allows intensifying the commercial relations. He proposed setting up joint companies that would work for the benefit of both of the sides.
Nicolae Timofti and Mihail Miasnikovici discussed President Alexandr Lukashenko’s visit scheduled for the end of September. The two officials expressed their confidence that this visit will lead to the development and deepening of the Moldovan-Belarusian relations.
