New postal charges for international parcels come into force on January 10. On its website, Moldova’s Post Office informs that the charge for a parcel of 1 kg to Romania is 24 lei, to Ukraine - 22 lei, while to Russia – 31 lei, IPN reports.
The delivery of a parcel of 1 kg to Italy will cost 53 lei, to Israel – 31 lei, to Spain – 38 lei, to Portugal 49 lei, to Greece – 39 lei, while to Canada – 89 lei.
Among the most expensive destinations are Samoa (322 lei per kg), the Pitcairn Islands (344 lei), Papua New Guinea (236 lei), New Caledonia (239 lei), and Tonga (244 lei).
The charges rose by 12-15%, but for some of the countries they decreased. The charge for Romania and Ukraine remained unchanged, for Russia and Italy increased by 5 lei and 23 lei respectively, while for Spain and Greece fell by 4 lei and, respectively, 3 lei.
