Moldova’s Post Office put 500,000 postage stamps “65 years of the second wave of mass deportations” into circulation. The nominal value of the stamp is 1.75 lei, IPN reports.

According to the state-run company “Posta Moldovei” (“Moldova’s Post Office”), the postage stamp represents the monument “Train of Pain” that was erected in the square of the Railway Terminal in memory of the victims of the Communist regime’s deportations.

The stamps are placed on a sheet of 46 x 27.50 millimeters that includes 10 stamps with the size of 2 x 5. The model was worked out by Vitaliu Pogolsa.
