Moldova Post has launched the series of postage stamps "2025 – The Year of the Snake," in partnership with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
"The series of postage stamps, along with the 'First Day' envelope and special postal cancellation, represents a symbol of the close cooperation between our countries. It will remain a valuable collectible for philatelists and will contribute to promoting cultural diversity," said the interim manager of the company, Violeta Cojocaru, at the launch event.
The Chinese Ambassador to Moldova, Yan Wenbin, emphasized the symbolic significance of the "Year of the Snake" in Chinese culture, characterized by wisdom and harmony. He also encouraged the continuation of collaboration between the two countries, both in the field of philately and in other areas of mutual interest.
The stamp series was issued in a print run of 60,000 copies and is available in the philatelic store of Moldova Post. The nominal value of the stamp is 5 lei.
