The state enterprise "Posta Moldovei" announces that it is ready to issue compensations for the cold period of the year and is cooperating with the competent institutions. The announcement comes in the context of the fact that beneficiaries of energy compensations who do not have bank cards will pick up the money at the post office, IPN reports.

"According to the legal provisions and in close cooperation with the competent authorities and institutions, the company will ensure their payment according to the established procedure in order to support citizens across the country. In this context, we expect the citizens who are entitled to the compensation to approach any post office in the country to collect it", a press release said.

The energy compensations are this year in monetary form, given directly to each eligible household on the applicant's bank card or at the post office. All households heated by natural gas, heat and electricity or solid fuel (wood, coal, pellets, briquettes) are eligible.

To receive compensation for november, applicants must register on the compensation.gov.md platform by november 28. During the cold season (november-march), applications can be submitted at any time, but compensation will not be granted for previous months. If the application was submitted after the 28 of the month, the compensation will be granted from the following month.

So far, about 465 thousand applications for energy cost compensation for the cold season 2024-2025 have been submitted, of which more than 238 thousand have been completed with the help of registrars.
