Ștefan Șaptefraț was dismissed from the post of chief prosecutor of the municipality of Chisinau after Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo accepted his resignation, IPN reports.

Until a new candidate is chosen, the post of chief prosecutor of Chisinau municipality will be held on an interim basis by Oleg Afanasii, chief prosecutor of the Special Investigations Control Section of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Also, Mihail Pascal, prosecutor of the Unification of Criminal Investigation Practice Section of the Prosecutor General’s Office, will serve as deputy prosecutor general of the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office.
