Possibilities of cooperation with Romania are unlimited, statement

The possibilities of cooperation with Romania are unlimited and only will on the part of the Moldovan and Romanian authorities is needed in this regard. In Bucharest, such willingness seems to exist and a good government should be ensured in Chisinau so that this offers possibilities of improving the relations between the two states and of bringing them closer, PAS leader Maia Sandu stated in a news conference at IPN where the PAS, PPPDA and PLDM signed a cooperation agreement with Romania’s PNL.

According to Maia Sandu, the three political parties that signed the agreement aim to learn from the National Liberal Party of Romania how to work with the diaspora and to use this resource in Moldova too. They also intend to cooperate in the field of the local public administration as there are many Moldovan communities that benefit from the support of Romania’s PNL. The cooperation is to be extended. “There are many other areas of cooperation, such as cooperation in restoring the relations between businesspeople of the Republic of Moldova and Romania,” stated the PAS leader.

Maia Sandu also said that by this agreement they aim to come closer to Romania through concrete projects in the energy and education sectors so as to offer the young people more possibilities and to make progress in building a prosperous business community and in attracting investments from Romania.

PPPDA leader Andrei Nastase said unity is needed among all those who do not only declare, but also prove that they are anti-oligarchic, democratic and pro-European. The established, declared and proven unity between the PAS, PPPDA, PLDM and Romania’s PNL can bring about good results in the upcoming local elections and also in this year’s parliamentary elections and the presidential elections of 2020. “By unity we can first win the mayoralty of Chisinau and then can take the whole country out of captivity. In the absence of unity, we risk losing everything,” stated Andrei Nastase.

PLDM president Viorel Cibotaru said this spirit of unity in the political struggle should be consolidated as there are risks that the Republic of Moldova will remain in a gray area and will remain captured after the power was usurped by an oligarchic regime. “We can probably speak about a new phenomenon, a common political action. We indeed risk losing the independent state Republic of Moldova,” he noted.

The president of the National Liberal Party of Romania Ludovic Orban said they give their support to the three Moldovan political forces in a move to help to really offer the Moldovan citizens a government in their favor as this is the last hope for the Republic of Moldova.
