The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed the security situation in the Black Sea Basin and the situation in Moldova, especially in Transnistria,with his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis. “We agreed to do our utmost for the Transnistrian region to be reintegrated into Moldova in the future,” Poroshenko said in a news conference held jointly with Iohannis, IPN reports, quoting the Romanian press.
Petro Poroshenko added that the two states will cooperate in the settlement of the frozen Transnistrian conflict so as to help Moldova become an integral state.
On March 17, Klaus Iohannis made an official visit to Kiev, where he had meetings with the administration of Ukraine.
