Population starts to understand that the present government is a disaster – Serafim Urecheanu
“The population starts to understand that the present communist government is not beneficial for the country and leads it to a disaster”, leader of “Moldova Noastra” Serafim Urecheanu told Info-Prim Neo.
In an interview offered to the agency on election day, Urecheanu said he is pleased that the voters started to acknowledge the fact that the present government is bankrupt and leads the country to a disaster. The fact that the Chisinau Mayor was elected only from the sixth attempt, after the Electoral Code was amended, speaks about the total discrediting of the local authorities, operated by the communist government and personally by Vladimir Voronin, the leader of MNA said. He further stated that not even in 1999, or 2003, have the communists managed to win the election in Chisinau, but this time, regardless of the one who will hold the Chisinau Mayor Office, Chisinau will have only to suffer, because by means of the actions against the local public administration, the ruling party managed to destroy the trust of the population in this body.
The leader of MNA says he is sceptical about the possible changes for the better in Chisinau, because being in agony the communists have even destabilised the hardly established equilibrium between the nationalities living in Moldova. The discriminatory slogans, hysteria – all these are the result of the communists’ “activity”, the cited source says.
Urecheanu considers that the ruling party is about to leave. In 2005, its popularity went down by 15%, and in the next two years – by another 15%. The leader of MNA admits that in 2009 it could unavoidably remain in the Parliament with 10-12 seats.
