Polygraph test taken by Viorel Chetraru was an exercise

The polygraph test that the director of the National Anticorruption Center Viorel Chetraru took on January 24 was a demonstrating exercise, rather than a real test, officials of the institution’s press service have told Info-Prim Neo. The polygraph donated by the United States to the Center is on the way to Chisinau. The U.S. provided three polygraphs of US$4,000 each for the National Anticorruption Center, the Security and Information Service (SIS), and the Ministry of the Interior. During 20 days, an expert from the U.S. trained seven Moldovan specialists to use the polygraph. These specialists will test anticorruption officers, policemen and employees of the SIS. The training course cost US$20,000 and was financed by the U.S.
