The mayoral runoff vote in Chisinau is over. All the polling places were closed at 9pm. According to the Chisinau District Electoral Council, there were reported no major incidents, IPN reports.
The Council’s deputy head Ina Babin said the voter turnout was 39.12%. Almost 249,000 inhabitants of the municipality of Chisinau (248 674) with the right to vote cast their ballots.
The voter turnout in the runoffs was by over 3% higher than in the first round of voting.
