Polling places closed all over Moldova

The voting process closed at all the polling places at 9pm. The voter turnout was almost 50%. Major incidents happened during the day, which could affect the election outcome, IPN reports.

According to the observers of Promo-LEX, there were witnessed infrastructure and equipment deficiencies or problems related to the Internet connection. Some of the polling places weren’t outfitted with ramps for wheelchair users. In one settlement, the members of the electoral bureau took the ballot out so that the disabled person could vote.

There were recorded arguments that degenerated into fights. A polling place in Cimislia was closed after a group of about 20 persons devastated it.

There were also recorded cases of electoral present and money offering for votes and of organized transportation of voters.
