Political will along with a small-steps policy are required to settle the Transnistrian conflict, stated Lucinda Creighton, the Representative of the OSCE Chair-in-Office and Irish Minister for European Affairs, at a press briefing in Chisinau held together with Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The 5+2 negotiations are very important. Concerning the meeting scheduled with Tiraspol's chief negotiator Nina Shtanski, Lucinda Creighton said discussions will focus on keeping the momentum gained in the 5+2 negotiations. Minister Iurie Leanca stated for his part: “In what regards the Transnistrian conflict and the role of the OSCE, I wold like to stress that we appreciate the efforts made by the Irish Chair-in-Office towards the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict.
