Political party accuses ruling party of secretly drafting National Security Strategy

The Republican People's Party (PPR) accuses the Communists Party of “continuing the same vicious practice, constantly applied for the last 8 years, of secreting the process of drafting the documents of maximum importance for the country,” Info-Prim Neo has learnt from a statement disseminated by PPR. It is expected that the National Security Strategy and the Action Plan of implementing it – two documents of maximum importance – will reach the Parliament, while the public opinion is not aware of the discussions on the subject. Such an approach of the Government is a tactical mistake and jeopardizes the further fate of the Strategy and Plan, the statement reads. PPR considers that this type of documents must be drafted with the society and, especially, by involving the opposition parties. “The continuity of the state policies can be ensured only this way. Only this way we'll be certain that each government will not change the game rules again,” PPR states. The party calls on premier Zinaida Greceanai, who conducts the team drafting the Strategy and the Action Plan, to make them public before they reach the Parliament, to allow the opposition parties and the civil society to say their attitude toward them and put up suggestions. “They should be widely talked about, entailing the society and politicians. Only documents understood and backed by the majority of the society can be considered to have a future,” PPR says.
