The political parties reacted to the incident that happened at the trilateral peacekeeping post situated near Vadul lui Voda town on the bridge over the Nistru River. They demand immediately calling a meeting in the 5+2 format and holding a fair and objective investigation into this case, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Given this tragic case and the fact that the current military format of these troops became an instability factor and a major impediment in the process of reintegrating Moldova, the Liberal Party demands immediately calling a meeting in the 5+2 format where to take a decision as regards the replacement of the military peacekeeping forces with a civil police mission under the aegis of the EU and the UN,” says a communiqué issued by the PL. The Liberals condemn the aggressive behavior of the Russian troops and describe it as abuse against the civil population of Moldova and groundless aggression. The PLDM informs that the killed young man Vadim Pisari formed part of the team of the Liberal-Democratic Youth of Dubasari district. “He had taken an active part in all the events staged by the local organization, was an honest, sincere and benevolent young man and a devoted colleague,” the party says in its communiqué. The PLDM calls on the competent bodies to conduct a correct, objective and professional investigation that would elucidate all the circumstances of this tragic case. The extra-parliamentary National Liberal Party accuses the Moldovan administration of inaction. “Our so-called political leaders have ties with the Kremlin regime, being blackmailed for their past and present deeds that make them hostage of the state that occupied us – Russia,” reads the communiqué from the party. The tragedy happened in the morning of January 1. Vadim Pisari was driving a car and refused to stop at the peacekeeping post. A Russian officer fired several shots, injuring the man in the back. He died in the hospital one hour after he was operated.
