Political Leadership School of IDIS “Viitorul” resumes work

The Institute for Development and Social Initiative (IDIS) “Viitorul” invites the young persons interested in politics to apply to the Political Leadership School until September 15, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the institution. “By this school, we want to support and contribute to the development of the new generation of competent and efficient opinion leaders, who know how to analyze the events, have arguments and can formulate them, including before video cameras,” said Ghenadie Mocanu, coordinator of the Political Leadership School. In order to graduate from the school, the young people will have to write an opinion article on a topical subject and to work out a social campaign strategy and present it to the public. During half a year, the selected persons will attend theoretical courses centering on the election systems, political parties, crisis management, sociological research, public policy and interest groups. At the same time, the participants will the possibility of meeting politicians, diplomats, civil servants and analysts and discussing the political and social realties with them. The project is financially supported by the German foundation Hanns Seidel. It will be the third class of the school. In 2006-2008, the school was graduated by 50 young persons.
