Political distribution of posts is inadmissible, Anticorruption Alliance

The Anticorruption Alliance makes an appeal to the country’s administration and the political parties, noting that the political distribution of public posts, especially of the head of state, is inadmissible, IPN reports.

In its appeal, the Alliance makes a call to Parliament, the Presidential Office, the Government, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Democratic Party, the Liberal Party and the Party of Communists, saying the integration into the European Union – an option supported by a considerable number of people in the November 30, 2014 elections – is an incontestable desideratum and an acute necessity for democratizing and developing Moldova. But the essential precondition of the integration into the EU is the intensification of the fight against corruption.

The Anticorruption Alliance considers the delay in the negotiations on the formation of a pro-European government coalition, the promotion or naming of discredited persons or persons who evidently lack integrity to the key state posts are inadmissible. The major state posts should be distributed based on merits, integrity and professional reputation and the leaders of the political parties should regularly and correctly inform society about the pace of talks.

The Anticorruption Alliance is a voluntary union of NGOs that deal with the prevention, diminution and eradication of corruption and the lack of integrity.
