The Political Council of the Bloc ACUM will meet on April 16 to examine the Party of Socialists’ proposal and to take a decision about the subsequent steps.

Contacted by IPN for details, MP Radu Marian said ACUM is to formulate a position following the PSRM’s announcement. The place and hour of the meeting will be announced later.  

After the meeting of the Nationals Council of the PSRM held last week, the party stated it is ready to form a “parliamentary majority” with a functional government, not a minority government with the Political Bloc ACUM. If the middle ground is not found, snap elections could take place. According to the Socialists, they didn’t consider forming a coalition with the Democratic Party.
