Over 10 million lei will be allocated for organizing and holding the national consultative referendum on February 24, 2019. The expenditure estimate was approved by the Central Election Commission (CEC) on December 14, IPN reports.
CEC president Alina Russu said the money is intended for ballot papers, proceedings, ascertaining documents, permits, forms for electoral offices of polling places, security labels and other electoral materials.
The expenditure estimate envisions costs associated with the involvement of more staff members in the organization of activities for holding the referendum in all the electoral offices.
Parliamentary elections will also take place in Moldova on February 24, 2019.
