The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) welcomes Valeriu Munteanu’s decision to support the future bloc ACUM and to contribute to strengthening the healthy anti-regime forces. “Since its constitution, ACUM has disseminated a message calling on all those who support the values of democracy, the rule of law and the fight against oligarchs to unite,” the PAS wrote on Facebook. According to the party, the unity of the authentic pro-European right is crucial at present, IPN reports.

The leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Nastase also reacted. He wrote on Facebook that all those who share the democratic values and become involved, work and struggle in people’s interests against the ruling criminals are welcomed near them and the future bloc ACUM because only the unity can bring about changes in the lives of Moldovans. “I also call again on those who are blackmailed and blackmailable to leave politics immediately and to stop negotiating Moldova’s future as this is not negotiated. The people of this nation are the only ones who should decide what tomorrow will be like in their country,” wrote the politician.

In a news conference on December 11, Valeriu Munteanu announced he decided to leave the Liberal Party after working as part of this for 11 years. He said he will support the future bloc ACUM, which, as he considers, represents the united, authentic pro-European, pro-Romania, anti-Putin and anti-duo opposition. According to him, the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu does not want the PL to form part of the bloc of the united opposition and history will show why.
