The European course of the Republic of Moldova is further possible, no matter what some say, because the country is profoundly European in many regards, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ioniță was quoted by IPN as stating in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1.
“Let’s look at the geographic position and you will see that the Republic of Moldova is a profoundly European country. Let’s look at culture and you will see that it is profoundly European. Let’s look at the economy and you will see that the economy of the Republic of Moldova already pulses at the same pace as the European area. Let’s look at the inter-human relations and you will see that many citizens from the Republic of Moldova have extended inter-human relations with the European area as well,” stated the ambassador.
Daniel Ioniță noted the European course depends on reforms. “A successful European course is first of all a profound process of democratic transformation of the country so that a part of the institutions in the Republic of Moldova have the capacity and necessary resistance to cope with challenges both domestic and foreign. It implies standard procedures, respect for the law and for the citizens. At the same time, this European course is further possible, no matter what some say,” he said.
As to the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldovan and Romania, Daniel Ioniță said this reached exceptional levels in many areas. “It is not hard to find an area where we have at least one example of good practice. This is very good for the citizens from the left side and also for those from the right side of the Prut,” noted the diplomat.
