Appeals Court rejects application to review annulment of Chisinau mayoral elections

The Chisinau Appeals Court rejected the application to review the annulment of the mayoral elections held in Chisinau this summer that was submitted by the non-validated mayor-elect of Chisinau municipality Andrei Năstase. The politician informed about this through the social media, IPN reports.

Andrei Năstase said the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc chose to defy once again the law, common sense, the people of this country, the international institutions, showing to everyone that stealing what does not belong to him is what he can do best. Vlad Plahotniuc chose to do this for fear things in the capital city and the county would improve and he would lose the freedom and the ill-gotten gains.

According to the politician, the justice system in Moldova is not Justice. It is anything else, but not Justice. “As long as the people’s vote continues to be stolen and the laws are interpreted as the mafia wants, our Moldova, of the people, will not be a free country,” stated the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”.

Andrei Năstase’s lawyer Dumitru Pavel said the Chisinau Appeals Court’s decision can be challenged in the Supreme Court of Justice within 15 days of the day it is edited. Only the conclusion of the decision has been made public so far. On November 29, the Chisinau Appeals Court is to pronounce on the judgement of the Centru branch of the Chisinau City Court that annulled the report by which the police ascertained that Andrei Năstase campaigned on the election day.
