The administration of the Party “Action and Solidarity” declares that it has no connection with Ludmila Kozlowska and the Foundation “Open Dialog” and received no finances from this foundation. On its Facebook page, the party wrote that the only aberrant accusation made is the fact that the PAS leader Maia Sandu took part in a conference at the invitation of a number of respectable members of the European Parliament and this foundation with which the EP cooperated covered the travel and accommodation expenses, IPN reports.

“We call on the whole society and the press to stop this show together with us as, by promoting discussions on the issue, we do nothing but promote a lie launched by the PDM in the style of the Kremlin propaganda and amplify an invention created by the regime to distract attention from serious problems and serious investigations. It is as if we investigate if Maia Sandu with Angela Merkel decided to bring 30,000 Syrians to Cahul or to distribute by 1,000 Syrians in each district. Let’s not take part in this process of fabricating aberrations and denigrating the opposition,” wrote the PAS.

On November 16, Parliament examined the commission of inquiry’s report on the accusations of interference by the Foundation “Otwarty Dialog” (“Open Dialog”) and its founder Ludmila Kozlowska. The reports said the Foundation benefitted from doubtful disbursements from offshore areas and was financed implicitly with funds obtained through the money laundering scheme “Laundromat” and through the banking fraud committed in Moldova. It also offered illegal finances to the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” and their leaders.

The commission recommended the Prosecutor General’s Office to examine the findings of the report and clarify and classify the involvement by FOD, affiliated persons and others in activities against Moldova’s national security.
