The investigation and punishment of those involved in the banking fraud and the recovery of the stolen funds are top priorities for the next governments. These are a key element for any government that wants to be credible so that the people have confidence in the administration of the state, the president of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu stated in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel, IPN reports.

According to the politician, the judges and prosecutors should be selected first of all depending on their integrity level and a Superior Council of Magistracy consisting of honest people is needed for the purpose so that those who commit abuses in the justice system are removed from it. “Only free and correct people will be able to investigate this theft. Evidently not those who form part of the current ruling gang,” stated Maia Sandu.

She wondered who will believe that the current government wants a democratic process of electing judges when the people’s vote for the mayor of Chisinau is annulled . “This is populism. The prosecutor should come from outside the system and should be a person who has courage and sufficient professionalism to start the big prospection service reform,” noted Maia Sandu.
