Polish films will be screened as part of the Polish Film Festival in Moldova “CinePOLSKA & VISTULA”. The 2023 edition is a hybrid one, with physical screenings at the Odeon Cinema in Chisinau during November 16-18 and online showings on the platform TIFF Unlimited between November 16 and 22, IPN reports.
The Polish Film Festival “CinePOLSKA” this year was associated with the “VISTULA” Film Festival of Poland and brings ten films before the public in Moldova. At the Odeon Cinema, there will be presented three films – “Fillip”, “The Illusion” and “Bits” with subtitles in Romanian, which will not be available online. Entrance is free of charge.
On the platform TIFF Unlimited, four feature films and three blocks of short films made by graduates of the film schools in Łódź, Warsaw and Katowice could be seen free. To watch the films with subtitles in Romanian and English, it is not necessary to create an account on the platform.
On November 16, at 7 p.m., the drama “Fillip” could be seen at the Odeon Cinema. This film obtained the Silver Lion at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, the Zbigniew Cybulski Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
On November 17, at 7 p.m., there will be screened “The Illusion” directed by Marta Minorowicz. The film took part in the International Film Festival in Tirana and the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
The drama “Bits” will be shown at the Odeon Cinema on November 18, at 7 p.m. The film won the award for debut at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival and the special jury award for script at the Film Festival in Warsaw.
The film “The Woman on the Roof” will be available online on TIFF Unlimited on November 16, 17 and 18. The drama made under the direction of Anna Jadowska won the award for Best Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival, the award for Best Direction and Best Image at the Cameraimage Festival in Toruń, the award for Best Actress at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
The comedy-drama “Once upon a time…” could be watched on the platform on November 17, 18 and 19. The film won the Eagle Award for Best Supporting Actress from the Polish Film Academy.
The film “The Baptizing” will be available on the platform on November 18, 19 and 20. The drama under the direction of Jakub Skoczeń took part in the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
The film “The Black Sheep” could be watched on the platform on November 18 and 19. The comedy-drama under the direction of Aleksander Pietrzak won the public award at the Polish Film Festival in Sydney.
The short films will be available on the platform during November 16-22.
