For 7 days, the Polish Film Festival will take place at Gaudeamus Cinema in Chisinau, with 2 movies per day. The films are in original, with Romanian subtitles. Entry is free of charge, Info-Prim Neo reports. Manager of Gaudeamus Cinema Lidia Troianovski declared at the festival opening, on Friday evening, November 2, that 14 feature films will be shown. The movies are shot by Polish directors between 1956 and 2010. “This is the 8th edition and what’s special about it is indicated in its headline ‘Movies with pairs’. Every day, we’ll project a classic and modern film, which are linked by a common theme or by shooting style. I think this is something original and the viewers are happy about it”, said Lidia Troianovski. Poland’s new Ambassador in Moldova Artur Michalski stressed the importance for a people to share its unique experience with other peoples. This enriches culture with foreign experiences. Polish cinema has a strong message and this is the 8th year when Polish movies are screened in Chisinau.
