The Traffic Police Division employees who will fail the tests given to reassess their professional skills and abilities will not be able to continue work, the Division’s head Serghei Diaconu has told Info-Prim Neo. According to Diaconu, if the employees will turn out to be unable to hold a post they will have to look for a job in another division of the Ministry of the Interior or will be dismissed. Under the law, within two months the given persons can find a job in another division of the Ministry of the Interior or are discharged, said Serghei Diaconu. If the employees fail certain tests, but show that they can be retrained, they will be sent to refresher courses. “We analyzed the institution from functional viewpoint. Now that we are in the process of reformation, we must see exactly which persons we will work with, where we face problems and how we can solve them,” stated the Traffic Police Division head. Staring with September 24, the Traffic Police officers from all over the country have been given a test that consists of two stages – appraisal of the physical fitness and preparedness and assessment of the professional skills and abilities. A commission composed of 11 specialists representing different institutions, including the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, the academic sphere and the National Participatory Center, was set up to analyze the results.
