The first stage of Moldovan-German consultations in the field of internal affairs, organized during October 17-18, was concluded with a Protocol including a series of agreements between the policemen from Moldova and Germany. It will ensure the sustainability of the Moldovan-German dialogue in the field of internal affairs. According to the press service of MIA, the document which stipulates bilateral collaboration in light of facilitating the visa regime, as well as aspects of illegal migration combating procedures, was signed by the deputy minister of Internal Affairs of Moldova, Valentin Zubic and the head of the Department for European migration, integration and refugees of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Germany, Gerold Lehnguth. The consultations took place at the initiative of Moldova, which pleads in favor of concluding an Agreement on facilitating the visa regime with EU. MIA officials informed the German Ministry about the present situation in Moldova as regards combating organized crime, illegal migration and trafficking in human beings, about the recent amendments to field’s legislation of Moldova and the planned ones. The sides decided to continue discussions between the ministries of the two countries.
