A police officer, two employees of the Customs Service and two former customs officers were arrested by officers of the National Anticorruption Center on suspicion of passive corruption. It is presumed that they took money from drivers for not checking their cars when going through the customs post in Larga, Briceni, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Center, if they are found guilty, they will serve up to ten years in jail and will be fined up to 60,000 lei. In the morning of September 28, eight teams of the National Anticorruption Center carried out searches at the customs post in Larga within the criminal case that was started in March.
