Ion Perju, the police officer who is suspected of killing Valeriu Boboc, was arrested for 15 days. The arrest warrant was issued by the Centru District Court. In a communique quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the Prosecutor General's Office says the prosecutors asked that Perju be placed under arrest for 30 days and they intend to appeal the Court's decision. The Prosecutor General's Office accuses Ion Perju of causing serious bodily injuries to Valeriu Boboc that led to his death. Valeriu Boboc was found dead after the protests. The 23-year-old man died as a result of the head injuries he received.
