Policeman probed for taking bribe from bus drivers
A policeman working for the Scut Patrolling and Sentinel Regiment is probed by the General Prosecutor’s Office for taking bribe, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the General Prosecutor’s Office press unit.
He is accused that, working at a traffic police post on Calea Iesilor street, he has extorted and received in June by 200 lei daily from drivers carrying passengers on the Chisinau-Calarasi route to allow them to travel freely within the capital.
The probe has been started after a company lodged a complaint. The prosecutors work to establish if other traffic police are involved in corruption schemes.
