A police officer of the Rascani raion commissariat was arrested after he asked 5,000 lei from a driver for not reporting a road accident, Info-Prim Neo informs, quoting a communique from the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime. The anticorruption officers caught him in the act of taking the money. The policemen is investigated for passive corruption on the outside. He faces five to ten years in jail or fine of up to 60,000 lei and might be deprived of the right to hold a particular post or carry out a particular activity for two to five years.
