Police seize firecrackers from Central Market
The shopkeepers of two stalls at the Central Market in Chisinau face tough fines after the police seized firecrackers and fireworks which were on sale without proper documentation, the General Police Commissariat said in a press release.
Proceedings are under way to prevent the merchandise from getting back on the stalls. The culprit shopkeepers face fines ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 lei.
In recent days the police discovered 34 cases of unauthorized sale of firecrackers and fireworks. The police are advising citizens to buy pyrotechnic devices only in authorized shops to avoid injuries and damages.
