Police are looking for a 21-year-old driver who crashed his Mercedes into a car repair workshop, ordered his three injured passengers out of the car and fled the scene. Elsewhere, a 23-year-old motorist driving his VAZ car in reverse struck a female pedestrian, 65, who was attempting to cross the street in Suri village, Drochia. The woman suffered severe injuries, including head trauma and multiple fractures, and was admitted to the Drochia district hospital. On Monday, the Traffic Police registered 6 accidents on Moldova's roads, with 8 persons injured. The traffic officers issued 2 fines for drunk-driving, 94 for speeding and 41 for driving unbuckled.
