Police posts for concert that will be held in central Chisinau on City's Day
The Great National Assembly Square on October 14 will be fenced for the concert that will end the festivities held to celebrate Chisinau's Day. Those who will want to enter the square, will have to pass through one of the ten posts that will be set up by the police, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the municipal police chief Silviu Musuc, the persons under the influence of alcohol and those who will have bottles of drink and objects that the police will consider dangerous will not be allowed to pass.
Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said six ambulances will be on duty at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Pushkin St, and Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Banulescu-Bodoni St, while two in the Cathedral's Park.
A grenade explosion rocked Chisinau's central square on October 14, 2009, after 22.00. About 30 persons had been hurt. Most of them received arm and leg injuries. The authors of the blast were identified about a year later. Eugeniu Bujac, Vasili Zaharov, Alexei Ganu, and Timur Dari are accused of illegally bearing and keeping munitions and murder attempt. The case opened against the four was remitted to court in August.
