Moldovan police officers will ensure public order and guard the 59 polling stations open in Moldova for the presidential elections in Romania. The elections will be organized and held from 22-24 november, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, police officers will be on duty to provide support in ensuring public order and guarding polling stations.
In order to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process, police officers will monitor the escorting of transportation units involved in the transportation of ballot papers, protecting their integrity and other electoral documents, as well as the security of polling stations.
Romanian citizens in the Republic of Moldova are expected to go to the polls to elect the President of Romania on november 22 (12.00-21.00), november 23 and november 24 (07.00-21.00).
