Two residents of Vatici village of Orhei district are investigated for raping a minor girl, while a police officer who was a witness to the crime will stand trial for complicity, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the case happened at a discothèque in Pelivan village on the night of July 23 this year. The men, who knew the victim, allured her into the car of one of these on the pretext of taking her home. By mental and physical constraints, these raped the 16-year-old girl. The crime occurred in the presence of the third accomplice, who turned out to be a police officer of the Orhei Police Inspectorate.
Immediately after the rape, the victim went to the police and the aggressors were arrested and charged. These face up to 12 years in jail.
