Four persons were killed and 77 injured in the 55 road accidents caused by bus drivers so far this year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Traffic Police Division. In order to reduce the number of road accidents involving vehicles transporting passengers, prevent the illegal carrying of passengers and identify violations of the legislation on passenger transportation, in the municipality of Chisinau there will be performed a special operation called “Bus” during September 9-19. Within the operation, employees of the Traffic Police Service of the General Police Commissariat will check the motor vehicles that transport more passengers than allowed or have not been subjected to overhaul and will examine cases of DUI and of driving without a license for a given category. The persons who will park their cars in unauthorized places, will drive faster than the legal limit and will cause accident situations will be fined.
