Five persons from Chisinau sold disinfectants, surgical face masks and gloves in the absence of quality certificates, sanitary authorization and documents allowing performing such a kind of activity, the National Investigation Inspectorate has said.
Contacted by IPN for detail, National Investigation Inspectorate press officer Ionela Bivol stated that the persons are residents of Chisinau.
The police found almost 5,000 recipients with disinfectants to the value of over 195,000 lei, 4,850 surgical face masks worth about 50,000 lei and 100 pairs of surgical gloves valued at 375 lei.
The court is to decide what to do with the confiscated merchandise. It will also decide the punishment for the culprits.
