Police identifies mini-plant producing counterfeited vodka
A mini-plant producing counterfeited vodka was disclosed by the employees of the General Police Office and the employees of the Informational Offences Section of the Police Office of Chisinau’s Ciocana district.
According to police, the “plant” was working in an auxiliary room of a dwelling block on Calatorilor Street. The owner aged 32 was bottling the “production” in glass recipients of 0.5 liters and was using the attributes of the trademark from Balti city: “Bogatari”, “Russkaia”, “Psenicinaia” and “drinking ethylic alcohol”. The businessman equipped his plant with the necessary technology for bottling vodka, equipment for making the mix of water and ethylic alcohol and video equipment, with the help of which the owner was watching was happening around the home and in the room where the vodka was being produced.
The Police officers, found out and confiscated 7200 glass recipients, 600 liters of ethylic alcohol, 4 packages with 10 thousand labels each, 2 packages with 5 thousand lids each to the total sum of MDL 15 thousand. As well, final production amounting to MDL 14 thousand was found out and confiscated.
At the moment, policemen undertake a series of measure in order to identify the places were the counterfeited products were sold and how the ethylic alcohol was transported.
At the same time, in 10 regions of the Russian Federation exceptional situation is announced because of the numerous intoxications with counterfeited alcoholic beverages. Only in Pskov, about 80 persons died during the last weeks.
