The police has held up four men suspected of having attacked a Comrat family, including a 4-year-old child, robing goods from their house. The suspects were detained in Chisinau, 10 hours after the robbery was committed, Alexandru Jizdan, an official of the Interior Ministry, told a news conference on Thursday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The offenders wore masks and had hunting rifles and a knife. The robbery was planned in advance and the family was well-to-do. When searching the dwelling in Chisinau where the suspects were arrested, all the robbed goods were discovered. Among those: mobile phones, jewelry, furs, totaling over 200,000 lei and other luxurious objects. The police says the detained group had committed tens of similar infractions earlier. If found guilty, they may stay in jail up to 20 years. At the same conference the police officer said a citizen from the Gagauz autonomy benevolently surrendered the police weapons and ammunition he held illegally, and that person is not to be sued.
