Police have discovered a new case of fraudulently bringing bird meat from the Transnistrian area, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry. The police have learnt the offense was being committed by a group using different illicit schemes and roads sidestepping customs posts. Last week on a road near Anenii Noi town, the police halted a minibus driven by a 26-year-old man from Durlesti town, Chisinau municipality. The police established the young man was transporting over 1,600 kg of frozen bird meat. He could not produce any document confirming the provenience of the goods. The goods were sequestered for more investigation. If found guilty, the man will be fined 500 lei.
