Two men and a woman were arrested for trafficking in drugs and face 7 to 15 years in jail. At the home of one of the men, the police found two sacks of narcotic substances. The criminal group worked in the northern districts of the country, IPN reports.

On August 17, on the Floresti – Balti road the police stopped a car driven by a 39-year-old man known in the criminal world as “Frantsuz”. The man is from Balti and was earlier tried for trafficking in drugs. In the car there was also a woman aged 44 from Sangerei. Both of them were under the influence of drugs.

The chief of the General Police Inspectorate Ion Bodrug told a news conference that the police found two packs of marijuana in the car. It was established that the group also included a resident of Sangerei town aged 37, who was earlier convicted of drug distribution. At the place of this man, there were found two sacks of narcotic substances.
