The police find two mini-factories used to forge documents in two flats in the Botanica and Râşcani sectors of Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Interior Press Service, the police caught red-handed a man aged 43 in an apartment on the Zelinschi street, the Botanica sector, as he was working on a set of counterfeited documents. The second forging mini-factory was tracked down in a flat on the Florilor street, the Râşcani sector of Chişinău. The lodger, aged 30, had been previously sentenced for the same offence, yet he returned to his craft after serving the term. Both dwellings had high-performance equipment and the suspects had false seals.
The inquest finds that the two men have been practicing this craft for more years. They used to get 20-50 euros per forged act, as the documents were sold again against even larger sums. The two counterfeited Romanian ID cards and driver licences, Moldovan ID cards for citizenshipless etc. The documents were employed in the illegal migration from Moldova.
If found guilty of „counterfeiting, holding, selling or using official documents and seals” the two men can be fined from 4,000 to 12,000 lei or jailed for up to five years.
