Officers of the National Patrolling Inspectorate found 55,000 liters of ethyl alcohol without documents of origin in two vehicles stopped for a check, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Inspectorate, a DAF truck with a tank transporting 22,000 liters of ethyl alcohol was stropped at 21.30 on July 21. It was driven by a man aged 38 from Balti municipality.
Shortly afterward, there was stopped the second DAF truck that was driven by a 48-year-old man, also from Balti municipality. There were 33,000 liters of ethyl alcohol in the truck’s tank.
The merchandise was estimated at 1.3 million lei. The trucks were escorted to the Rascani Local Inspectorate.
