Two men aged 18 and 25 from Calarasi and Causeni districts were caught red-handed when they were leaving the office of a bank situated in Chisinau’s Rascani district, from where they stole the electronic payments terminal, IPN reports.

According to the Genera Police Inspectorate, the young men entered the bank at 5am. When going out, they were seen by a police patrol. The young men tried to run. One of them was immobilized near the bank, while the other was chased and caught in a yard nearby.

The police found two hunter’s knives, mobile phones and other goods on the two. They will be tried for theft and face a fine of 6,000 to 20,000 lei or up to four years’ imprisonment.
