Police catch three car radio thieves
Three persons are suspected of stealing car radios worth over 70,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. The cases opened against them were sent to court.
According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, during September-December 2008 the three men broke the windows or locks of 12 cars, most of which Dacia Logan, and stole radios and other goods. The thieves intended to sell the radios to taxi services.
The three are liable to fines of 6,000 to 20,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service, or imprisonment of up to four years.
